A welcome addition to any meal this salad has big bold flavors. My Ginger Flake Salt ties the citrus flavors and basil together, offering a mouth watering punch.
1. Slice the ends off the fruit. Stand the fruit upright on one of the flat ends. Cut away a section of the peel from the top all the way down to your cutting board. Be sure that you are making a clean slice and removing all of the white pith.
2. Use this first slice as a guide to remove the rest of the peel and pith. Make slices all the way around the fruit until all of the peel and pith are gone.
3. Once the peel and pith have been removed, lay the orange on its side and cut it into slices, as thick or thin as you like.
4. Arrange fruit slices on a platter, sprinkle with Ginger Salt and torn basil. Serve immediately.

I just received the ginger flake salt yesterday. I tasted a bit of it and it is DELICIOUS!! I am going to my local produce stand today for fruit (I live in the boonies between Jacksonville and Gainesville, Florida in the middle of a lot of farms and we have lots of produce stands that the state is allowing to stay open). . I can’t wait to try this simple fruit recipe! I think it would be great as a part of Sunday brunch with the family this weekend! With social distancing and self isolation, I have been trying to be creative with my family’s meals. Thank you for your GREAT spice blends! Stay safe and God bless. ❤️❤️
