1. Pre-heat the oven to 350°. Lightly butter a 9x2x13 inch glass casserole pan. Set aside.
2. Peel the squash and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Core the appes and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Alternate layers of apples and squash slices in the prepared pan.
3. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, maple syrup, apple juice, brandy and Apple Pie Spice, bring to a simmer; cook for 5 minutes. Pour the glaze over the squash and apples.
4. Bake for 1 hour or until squash and apples are caramelized and soft. Occasionally baste to ensure everything is cooked in the delicious sauce.
