The Best Smoky Sweet Spice on the Market

After I was introduced to Victoria Spice by my grandmother, I began to have a problem. I was hooked. Each spice I discovered, I fell in love with, and it joined my lovely (albeit small) spice rack with an assortment of various spices that I would use regularly. The spices that don't make the cut are stored in a cabinet.
The bacon glaze is by far one of my top three favorite spices by Victoria Taylor. I use it for my bacon, my ham, ribs, even my green beans and brussel sprouts; anything that could do with a little sweet and a little smoky flavoring. The sweetness of the honey and sugars pair so delectably with the smoky flavors of the black pepper and allspice and perfectly blend with flavors of cinnamon and clove on the back end of your palate, leaving you begging for more of that sweet smoky heavenly bliss.
Sure, I was a part of that "glazed bacon" trend that happened over this past spring and summer, but all those options paled in comparison to this single spice mix, which I had come across before the trend became popularized. Nothing at the restaurants or in the spice aisle even came close to how perfectly crafted this spice mix is.
While I haven't yet, been able to bring myself to purchase the large jar (my spice orders are my birthday gifts and so I have to budget wisely) I ration myself throughout the year using a little bit here and there. I do have to remember though and would like to caution you other purchasers in this, especially when used on bacon, be sure to keep an eye on it. The sugars in this spice will cause your meats to caramelized and brown faster. Don't just throw it on your bacon and keep it in the oven at 400-425 for 20 minutes, or even put it in a skillet and turn around to do something else unless you want your smoke alarm to go off and your kids to yell at you for burning their bacon. I will say, keeping an eye on whatever you use it on it is definitely worth it. The bacon glaze is mouth wateringly perfect.
