There is nothing quite like the aroma of apples and cinnamon baking. After picking apples every fall, there are a few apple inspired recipes I cannot wait to make. This recipe is at the top of my list. It is perfect for hungry crowds or just me!
Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
2 apples, cored and diced
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups powered sugar
4 teaspoons milk
-
4 teaspoons, divided Apple Pie Spice
Spices
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 12-cup tube pan. Set aside.
Open the biscuit cans and cut each biscuit into quarters.
In a large bowl combine biscuit pieces, diced apples, sugar, and 3 teaspoons Apple Pie Spice. Toss to coat
Add the biscuit mixture to the prepared pan. Pour the melted butter over the top. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 10 minutes in the pan. Run knife around the edge to loosen and then remove the bread from pan into a cooling rack. Cool for an additional 10 minutes.
In a bowl whisk the confectioners sugar, remaining teaspoon Apple Pie Spice and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the bread. Serve warm.
