Glazed Ham

A great glazed ham recipe has three essential requirements. No. 1- a gorgeous and shiny appearance – after all we eat with our eyes first. No. 2 - for each and every bite to be sweet, spicy, tangy, and of course tender. No. 3 - a crispy, crackling crust. My glaze delivers on all three notes and makes a stunning centerpiece for any occasion.

Ham Glaze in my stocking.

I've been buying the Ham Glaze for many years, it's my best kept secret. ( all my friends think I'm so good in the Kitchen calling my dish the best tasting salmon they have ever tasted.) I'll let you in on my recipe if you promise not to tell...lol .... as follows;
I buy my salmon steaks from Costco, excellent salmon. Now if you follow my directions you will be surprised at how delicious they are and you to will become the Master Chef.
Okay, let the salmon steaks thaw out in a dish, when they have thawed wrap them in paper towels and remove any wet juices.... then place them on a piece of tinfoil and rub in a light coating of your favourite tasting olive oil, I use Tuscan flavored olive oil I buy from a local vendor. After the salmon steaks are lightly coated with oil sprinkle your ham Glaze over the steaks and rub it in with your finger going in a circular motion, turn them over and apply again. Once they've been lightly coated with the oil and Glaze wrap them in tinfoil, then wrap them again with tinfoil. Turn your Weber (BBQ) on high...we want lot's of heat..500 degrees Fahrenheit is what I like... so then place the salmon steaks on the bun warmer shelf in your bbq, up away from the grill area.... leave them sealed inside the tinfoil and let them cook for 8 minutes between 450-500 degrees... that's it....wait until you taste them...remember it's our secret now.
Cheers,
Merry Christmas
Phil...from Nova Scotia.

Sweet and Savory

I wanted to try this seasoning because I love sweet and savory. And this did not disappoint!! The ham glaze has a great balance of flavors and just savory enough that it does not over power the sweetness. Every year this is on my ham for thanksgiving and when I cook for people they love it too so thanks for this pairing it is really amazing.
